About this course

MATH 2420: Differential Equations is offered online by Austin Community College. A course in the standard types and solutions of linear and nonlinear ordinary differential equations, include Laplace transform techniques. Series methods (power or Fourier) will be applied to appropriate differential equations. Systems of linear differential equations will be studied. The prerequisites for all mathematics courses are STRICTLY enforced and will be verified by instructors. Students without the prerequisites are subject to withdrawal. Mandatory Synchronous Virtual Meeting Times. Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:00 - 7:45pm (CDT). Students are required to have a computer/tablet equipped with microphone and webcam (internal or external) and reliable internet access. ACC Math department placement exam testing (ALEKS) is not available for Acadeum students: students must meet the prerequisite class credit requirements in order to be admitted. This course section provides First Day Access to ACC students for an ebook copy of the textbook. Acadeum students will need to purchase the opt-out version of the book listed in the "required texts" link.
