About this course

MBA 660: The Pandemic Economy and Beyond is offered online by Cedar Crest College. The global COVID-19 pandemic represents more than just a public health crisis: it has created both short-term and long-term economic and managerial challenges, including supply chain disruption, manufacturing, distribution and logistics challenges. This Topics in Strategic Management course examines these issues, as well as the striking transformations in public retail and business space, including restaurants, movies theatres, live performances, and mass transportation in the wake of the virus. Students will explore both the immediate and strategic impact of the pandemic on business productivity, including remote meetings and telework, pandemic fatigue, and potential workforce realignment due to restructuring. The goal is to not only examine the momentous disruptions that have already occurred through specific case studies, but to focus on finding adaptive models that build forward into the ongoing recovery.
